Mother’s Day Celebration Brings Women and Families Together at the Art of Aid Safe Space

Mother’s Day Celebration Brings Women and Families Together at the Art of Aid Safe Space

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Art of Aid organized a series of psychosocial activities for women, mothers, and children at its safe space. The events created an opportunity for participants to relax, express themselves through creativity, and spend meaningful time together in a supportive and welcoming environment. The celebration included two parallel activities designed for different groups of participants.

Women took part in the canvas painting workshop "Leadership Without Burnout," where they reflected on self-care, emotional balance, and the importance of preserving their inner resources while supporting others. Through creative expression and facilitated discussion, participants explored practical ways to prevent emotional exhaustion and strengthen their resilience. At the same time, mothers and their children joined a collaborative creative workshop that encouraged quality time together, communication, and shared positive experiences. The activity provided families with an opportunity to create memorable keepsakes while reinforcing emotional bonds through art.

These events once again demonstrated that creative activities can become an effective tool for psychosocial support, helping participants restore emotional well-being, build supportive relationships, and celebrate important moments together.
