Art of Aid mobile legal team supported newly displaced people at humanitarian hub of frontline Mezhova
The mobile legal team of the NGO “Art of Aid” conducted an outreach visit to a humanitarian hub in the Mezhova community of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, which is currently receiving newly displaced people. The community is located near the frontline, and ongoing evacuations from surrounding areas have led to a continuous arrival of people in urgent need of support.
The team provided individual legal consultations directly at the hub, supporting people who had just been evacuated and were facing immediate legal and administrative challenges. Key topics included registration as internally displaced persons, access to social benefits, restoration of lost documents, and access to essential services in a new location. Special attention was given to the first steps after evacuation, helping people quickly understand available procedures and access necessary assistance.
For people evacuated from frontline areas, access to clear and reliable legal information is essential. It not only helps them understand their rights but also prevents mistakes during the first days after displacement, when decisions can significantly affect their future.
This outreach format allows the team to be present at a critical moment: immediately after displacement - when uncertainty is at its highest. Working in humanitarian hubs enables support to be delivered exactly where it is most needed - at entry points where people arrive after evacuation. It also allows for a rapid response to new displacement waves and changing needs.
The Art of Aid team continues to conduct outreach visits to frontline and near-frontline communities to ensure that legal assistance remains accessible to those most affected by the war.
