Head of Art of Aid, Stanislava Artomova, joined the presentation of the final report on reparations for war-affected people
The Head of the NGO Art of Aid, Stanislava Artomova, took part in the event “Presentation of the Final Report on the Results of the Consultation Process on Reparations for Victims of Human Rights Violations in Ukraine,” organized by IOM and the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights. The event served as a platform for dialogue between state institutions, international organizations, and civil society representatives on developing an inclusive reparations mechanism in Ukraine.
During the meeting, key findings and recommendations were presented, based on nationwide consultations with people directly affected by the war. Particular attention was given to ensuring that their experiences are reflected in state policies and recovery programs.
For Art of Aid, participation in such events is an important opportunity to engage in national-level decision-making processes and amplify the voices of people who have experienced war, loss of home, and displacement.
“For Art of Aid, participating in such events is an opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes at the national level. At the same time, our priority is people. We represent the voices of internally displaced persons and war-affected individuals, as we work based on the principle of ‘peer-to-peer’ and share this experience ourselves. That is why it is crucial for us that these voices are heard and reflected in policymaking,” said Stanislava.
For the Art of Aid team, reparations are not only about compensation mechanisms. They are also about recognition of lived experiences, restoration of dignity, and justice for people affected by the war.
The organization will continue working to ensure that recovery approaches in Ukraine are shaped together with people and reflect their real needs, experiences, and right to be heard.
